Currently reading: Sycamore Row by John Grisham.
A wealthy and reclusive man has killed himself. His two children who never really liked him (and whom he never liked either) believe that they are going to inherit his fortune but it turns out that he cut them off completely and left his wealth to an unexpected person. The legal battle that follows is messy and complicated, as several secrets are revealed.
This book has characters from his Bestseller ‘A Time to Kill’ but you do not need to have read that one to enjoy it. I’m almost certain that I have read this book before now but enough time has passed to make me feel like I’m reading a brand new story 🙂
As is the case with Grisham’s books, there is a steady build up of the drama as it unfolds, explanation of intricate legal principles, interesting characters as well as some humour. Would recommend 👍🏾
