Poem: Light.

He smelled like

Earth and sunshine,

He was mine,

And all was fine.

I was his charming rose;

He dodged my thorns,

And declared that I was

Number one.

He was purpose personified.

His presence was a gift,

He was always present.

Like constant electricity

In Nigeria,

He was an anomaly,

An unexpected light

In dreary darkness.

All was fine

When he was mine.
