Poem: Stop Searching.

Nigerian Writer

Would you be satisfied

If I squeezed myself

Into a ball

For you to use for

Would you be delighted

If I only ever

Folded backwards,

Always available for your

Special kind of

Would you like me

To throw out my shoes

So I can only walk on tiptoe,

And be largely unobtrusive

To your little ego?

Like tears in the rain,

Your answers mean nothing,

And I will stop searching in vain,

For light where darkness remains.
