Poem: Feels Like Love.

What does love feel like?

It feels like air trapped in your lungs, slightly uncomfortable, but strangely welcome.

It feels like the moment you spot your waiter bringing your food to you at a restaurant, when your whole being smiles with relief.

It feels like not wanting to go to sleep, but sleeping anyway, because you know you’ll see your beloved there.

It feels like a glass of cold water after hours of thirst, languid satisfaction which refreshes you.

It feels like knowing you can fly, but you tell no one, cherishing this secret and holding it close to your heart.

Yes, it feels just like that.

And when the love is reciprocated?

It feels like all these and more, magnified a million times over.
